Arrived a few hours ago in Vietnam landing at Hanoi airport. The luxury of flying rather than the 24 hour local bus feels decadent and so worthwhile.
As we were departing Laos a lovely young Aussie girl came up to us and offered us free accommodation in her new hostel in Hanoi. Worrying it was too good to be true we weren’t quite sure but I am happy to say the hostel is amazing and this very message is being sent using their free wifi. The Drift is a definite recommendation if you end up in Hanoi.
After a quick wander around Hanoi we immediately felt at home and enjoyed a lovely meal and some fantastic ice cream from Fanny’s Ice Cream.
Tomorrow we are planning to head out around Hanoi and visit all the sites, eat all the food and probably watch Jo spend a fortune on clothes.
